‘Say No to Corruption,’ NAB playing vital role in eliminating corruption: FPCCI

KARACHI:  The role of National Accountability Bureau (NAB) is praise-worthy to eliminate corruption from our society. This was stated by Abdul Rahim Janoo, the acting President of FPCCI, in a meeting held with Director General Sindh NAB Col (r) Siraj Naeem, who visited the Federation House, Karachi here on Thursday. The meeting was also attended by Ikram Rajput, Waseem Vohra, Shahnawaz Ishtiaq, Vice-Presidents of FPCCI, M A Lodhi, Secretary General, FPCCI, Rafiq Suleman, Mumtaz Shiekh, Dawood Jakhura, Mariam Chaudhary among others.

Abdul Rahim Janoo said that NAB is playing important role in eliminating corruption from the society their slogan of ‘Say No to Corruption’ have been exhibited in FPCCI to demonstrate the solidarity with the NAB.  He said NAB is playing key role in a war waged against corruption and the entire business community is appreciating the role of the NAB.

On this occasion, the Director General of Sindh NAB Col (r) Siraj Naeem said that the present government has adopted business-friendly policies, the FBR has been revamped. He further said that FPCCI is playing important role for the promotion of trade activities, both at national and international level, which is a great contribution in the national economy.

The DG NAB (Sindh) further stated that NAB believes that the national income is based on individual incomes and we should facilitate the business community to earn more for themselves and the country as well. They should not be entangled into the complexity of calculations on account of duties and taxes and time wasting practices.

He further said the NAB is ready to help business community and they may visit this office any time. He also informed that various steps have been taken to eliminate the corruption from our country and to encourage the people to ‘Say no to Corruption’. He further said that every individual in the NAB is working professionally under certain code of conduct.

The acting President of FPCCI Rahim Janoo assured full support and cooperation with NAB in eliminating corruption and also creating awareness through various segments amongst the people.
