LONDON: One Plus has announced to launch next generation smartphone of One Plus One in the shape of One Plus Two with Android 4.4 KitKat operating system, 4GB of RAM. The next generation smartphone has 16 MP of rear camera in it with 64GB internal storage in $538.19. the One Plus Two will be unveiled on April 17.

GeekBuying has even posted a render of OnePlus Two along with specifications. According to the retailer, the smartphone will feature a 5.5-inch full HD LTPS display, Snapdragon 805 processor clocked at 2.7GHz, 3GB RAM, 64GB ROM, and 3300mAh battery.

The upcoming flagship device is said to boast a 16MP rear camera, which if true, will be an upgrade over the 13MP sensor from the first gen model.

Earlier reports also claimed that the company has decided to redecorate the upcoming smartphone as it is expected to be embodied in a metal casing this time, as compared to One’s polycarbonate casing.

The OnePlus Two specs revealed by the retailer, however, contradict with the previous rumors, which claimed the handset will sport a 2k display along with Snapdragon 810 and 4GB RAM.

But one thing which makes us a little suspicious about this pre-order is the render showing Cyanogen branding with the listing talking about Color OS based on Android 4.4 KitKat. According to what we’ve heard so far, the Chinese handset maker after parting its ways with Cyanogen last year over the exclusive rights controversy in India, has stopped Cyanogen branding on their One smartphone.

The company recently announced that it’s working on its own custom Android ROM, known as Oxygen OS, which is designed to be very close to a stock Android experience and features ZERO bloatware. So it’s pretty surprising to see them launch their new smartphone with ColorOS or Cyanogen OS.

The OnePlus One has been one of the best-selling smartphones of 2014, thanks to its powerful hardware qualities, affordable prices, the unique invite system and strong community based marketing tactics. In view of its popularity and high demand, the company, just a couple of days back, launched its One handset in 16 more countries in Europe.

We have reached out to OnePlus to know about the latest rumor, but as it happens in case of other leaks, there is no word from the manufacturer about the launch or specs of the handset.
