KIEV: Ukraine’s Cabinet of Ministers has authorised Naftogaz Ukrainy to ensure that no more than 50% of the country’s 2015 gas supply is sourced from a single supplier.
The Cabinet made the announcement in its forecast balance of gas supply and distribution, posted on the government’s website this week.
Ukraine plans to import 26 billion cubic metres this year, an increase of 33.5% from 19.47 bcm in 2014.Ukraine’s projected demand for 2015 is 54.2 bcm, which will include 19.5 bcm of domestically produced gas.
