DUBAI: Gulftainer, the Sharjah-headquartered port operator, said that it has “set a new record” for the largest singling unloading of a single vessel at its Khorfakkan Container Terminal (KCT).
The terminal along the Indian Ocean in Sharjah handled 19,561 twenty foot equivalent units (TEUs), a shipping container measurement, from the vessel, according to an emailed statement. The unloading of the CMA CGM Jules Verne container ship was completed in 54.5 hours with the use of 11 cranes.
