LONDON: WhatsApp new update is available for Android and you can download the 2.12.64 APK file from the official website. This beta version doesn’t seem to have significant changes, only minor changes and improvements, but you’re still not able to perform backups with Google Drive. If you want to do that, get the 2.12.45 alpha version. Regarding the 2.12.64 beta version, it has ten modified files, but no additions.
Whenever a new beta version is launched, it’s firstly found on whatsapp.com, but many website owners are downloading them and uploading them on their pages, so that the readers who want to be up-to-date with the latest changes can get these APK files and install them on their smartphones.
WhatsApp is the most used application of the moment, having over 800 million users sending messages every day from their accounts. We can tell you for sure that by the end of 2015; WhatsApp will surpass 1 billion users, because every day, 1 million people are registering using their phone numbers, because this is the sign up method specific to this application. When installing WhatsApp, the users must specify their phone numbers and after receiving a SMS text with an authorization code on their smartphones, they must enter it in order to have their accounts verified.
The previous updates of WhatsApp came with a lot of changes, besides the addition of voice calls (which happened in February). We have an improved Material Design, featuring a title bar that is deep green when blends into the three important tabs Contacts, Chats and Calls, you can notice the new buttons in the chat window with which the users can record messages and many more. The layout for profiles and group chat information is cleaner and you can see the larger cover image, an overhauled media selection screen. In addition, the users can save or share the profile photo/group icon and with the Pay for a friend feature, you can help a friend by paying the annual fee of 0.99 dollars for him/her. The users can share photos faster with the new camera widget and the Sony and Note 3 smartphones owners have a fix for voice recordings.
You won’t find this latest beta version in the Google Store, so before installing it from whatsapp.com, enable the Unknown Sources option from Settings.
