FIA seizes huge quantity of Indian contraband drugs during raid, 2 FIRs registered

KARACHI: The Deputy Director of Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Corporate Crime Cell (CCC) Kamran Attaullah in a press conference revealed that the FIA-corporate crime cell has seized the banned drugs imported from India in a raid at a godown located at Café Tawakal, M A Jinnah Road on Tuesday.

During the press conference, Deputy Director FIA Kamran Ataullah informed the media that a team of FIA-CCC comprised of Inspector Siraj Panhwar along with Inspector Khursheed Hussain, Inspector Hameed Sharif, Sub-Inspector Rizwan Bhatti, Assistant Sub-Inspector Muhammad Ilyas, FC Rana Muhammad Ashfaq and others conducted the raid at the godown and seized a huge quantity of suspected unregistered and spurious drugs and packing material of medicines including cofcal, zinetac, relief extra, panadol, voren, viagra, cobra, diclocin, VIP increased pill, B-52, time plus, penegra (Viagra), centrum tablet, neurobion injection others.

Addressing the press conference, Kamran Ataullah said that two separate FIRs bearing no 05/2015 and 06/2015 were registered under Section 27 of Drug Act 1976 and under Section of Customs Act 1969 at FIA corporate crime cell Karachi and also arrested an accused Abdul Haseeb son of Abdul Habib.

The deputy director FIA further informed the media that the team is also conducting raids to apprehend the absconding accused namely Muhammad Tariq and Muhammad Amir.
