KARACHI: The Air Freight Unit (AFU) of Model Customs Collectorate-MCC Preventive has collected total revenue of Rs 3.39 billion altogether in April-2015 in different revenue heads including Customs Duty (CD), Sales Tax (ST), Additional Sales Tax (AST), Withholding Tax (WHT) and Federal Excise Duty (FED).
According to the revenue statistics, the Air Freight Unit (AFU) has collected an amount of Rs1035.57 million in share of Customs Duty (CD) for April-2015 while it was collected Rs961.07 million in the same head in March.
The AFU has collected an amount of Rs1689.56 million in share of Sales Tax including the sum of additional Sales Tax in April-2015 while it was collected a sum of Rs1076.81 million in the same heads in March-2015.
The Air Freight Unit has collected the revenue of Rs673.09 million in share of Withholding Tax (WHT) for April-2015 while the Unit was collected Rs736.81million in share of the same head in March-2015.
The AFU has collected a meager amount of Rs0.02million in share of Federal Excise Duty (FED) for April-2015, while it was collected same amount of Rs0.01 million in March-2015.
The Chief Collector-Enforcement (South) Muhammad Nazim Saleem and the Collector-MCC Preventive Syed Muhammad Tariq Huda have expressed their satisfaction over the increase in revenue collection of AFU as compare for March-2015.
Both the high officials of Pakistan Customs lauded the performance of the authorities concerned at AFU and asked them to continue their same efforts in order to increase the revenue collection in all heads.
