EDIRNE: Customs officers in Turkey have detained 61 kg of heroin in a Bulgarian truck as the driver tried to cross the border checkpoint into Bulgaria.

The truck was carrying cement from Turkey and heading to Bulgaria. At the checkpoint it turned out that the load was heavier than declared. When the customs officers carried out a thorough inspection of the vehicle they found the illicit drug. A customs sniffing dog discovered 121 packages of heroin, hidden in pipes.
