ASF confiscates over 2kg heroin at airport

LAHORE: Airport Security Forces at Allama Iqbal International Airport have seized more than 2 kg heroin and arrested three persons. Official sources have informed that the arrested persons were drug traffickers.

A female passenger, aged over 50 years of age and resident of Lahore, was going to board PIA’s flight destined for Dubai. During security check ASF officials recovered 1.11 kg heroin from her trolley bag.

Boarding the same flight another passenger, also a resident of Lahore, was arrested and one kg heroin was recovered from his luggage. He had concealed the heroin in a shampoo bottle. Both passengers were supposed to smuggle narcotics further from Dubai to Liberia in Africa.

A facilitator was also arrested who had visited airport to facilitate the drug traffickers in smuggling the heroin.

ASF handed over all of the accused to Anti Narcotics Force (ANF) for further action.
