The Committee, expressing concern over pending court cases in which recovery was due from WAPDA’s employees, said that mostly cases of recovery were pending in the courts and people involved in misappropriation were also working freely in departments.

It said that matter of recovery should be discussed in the Board of Directors (BoDs) meeting and directed to withdraw the cases without any result while action be taken against involved.

He said that recovery can be made if the department showed its willingness while serious efforts by the department can make recovery possible from their employees.      The committee expressed dissatisfaction over reply of the National Engineering Services Pakistan (NESPAK) in which huge amount was un-recovered from different government bodies and said that unrecoverable amount was increasing day by day while no appropriate action was taken in this regard.

The committee directed the NESPAK to take the matter seriously and present its report within three months positively.       It was also directed by the committee that all departments should ensure early payments to the NESPAK and present month wise progress report to the Committee.
