NEW YORK: Thanks to a new gadget that’s a mix between Star Trek’s “Replicator,” which whipped up meals on demand for those on board the fictional starship, and the Keurig coffee maker, cooking can soon become much more convenient.
The Genie, which is about the size of a small coffee maker, can produce a variety of meals in 30 seconds by using pods. The pods, containing all-natural ingredients, are freeze-dried and have a shelf life of between one and two years. The meals are served in 140-gram portions.
