NEW YORK: The YouTube app has received multiple updates on all operating systems, including the popular iOS and Android platforms. The application is now much more stable, has received multiple performance improvements, bug fixes and more.
While the app was originally designed to allow viewers to easily enjoy videos on their smartphones and tablets, it has now transformed into something completely different. The videos are neatly organized in multiple categories and the newly launched music videos category has received great appreciation from the public.
The newest version available for the iPhone and iPad owners is 10.11.11546. It provides the viewers with better stabilization so that the app doesn’t crash much. Similarly, many bugs which were reported by the users were taken into account and fixed with the rollout. The problem is that when Apple launched the bigger sized iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus, the YouTube app started showing signs of instability.
It was not only because of the varying screen size, but mainly because of the newest operating system, the iOS 8. The operating system is not stable, because it is the first version that is taking a grand step towards flatter design, newer features and many innovative add-ons. Most apps have stability issues with the update which has now been fixed with this release. If you have been using YouTube on your Apple device, you should definitely upgrade so as to enjoy better stability. Many bugs which the users notified in forums have been taken into account and fixed.
While the iOS is an important platform, in contemporary times, Android has gained significance because the vast majority of devices run on this operating system. Even Whatsapp rolled out the new voice calling feature on Android first, before any other operating system. Similarly, the YouTube app on Android received multiple bug fixes and stability improvements in recent times.
In order to make it fully compatible with varying hardware specifications, the developers have rolled out multiple updates within a span of two months. All of them are focused on fixing the bugs and making the app stable without crashes. Many users reported that YouTube crashed more often than expected and had difficulty in loading videos when the Android 5.0 Lollipop was rolled out.
The development team has taken this in to account and have rolled out the necessary updates. Meanwhile, Google is yet to roll out the Android 5.1 Lollipop so that it facilitates YouTube as well as other apps to run seamlessly on multiple devices. If you have a problem, you can always file a report and leave a comment in the official YouTube blog. The team will definitely take it into account so that they can add it to their next update. Leaving comments on the App store or Play store helps as well.
