Karachi RTO-I collects Rs 121.24 billion as tax until May 15

KARACHI: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) Regional Tax Office-I (RTO-I) has collected Rs 121.24 billion in the form of direct and indirect taxes until May 15 of the current fiscal year 2014-15.

According to details, the Regional Tax Office-I has collected Rs 17 million under the head of sales tax during the period.

Similarly, a sum of Rs 49 million collected in wake of federal excise duty (FED), while an amount of Rs 118.96 billion was generated as income tax until May 15.

The authorities concerned of the RTO-I Karachi are confident of achieving their target of revenue collection by the end of the current fiscal year.
