Law Branch’s working atmosphere has improved: DC Mehwish Shah

KARACHI: The Customs House’s Law Branch has computerised the record of last 20 years’ cases to make the record accessible on one click, says Deputy Collector Mehwish Shah.

Talking to Customs Today, she said, “We have improved the performance of the Law Branch to facilitate the people.”

She said that renovation of the branch was also carried out to provide a pleasant atmosphere to the employees as well as to complainants and other visitors.

After the computerisation, she said, it has become easy for the officials to search the files of old cases in no time, while in the past, staff had to waste time in manual search.

To keep check and balance, the collector has a briefing regarding the cases once or twice a week to evaluate the performance of the law branch.
