ANF Lahore seizes opium, charas, vehicles

LAHORE: Anti Narcotics Force (ANF) Monday recovered huge quantity of opium, charas and seized vehicles. ANF Lahore Road Check Team recovered 12 kgs charas after intercepting 2 cars near Faisalabad.

The drugs were concealed in Toyota Corolla XLI (2011 Model) registered No. RD-365 and Toyota Corolla GLI (2007 Model) registered No. LEF-4555. Both accused Arshid Mehmood s/o Manzoor Mian and Muhammad Razaq s/o Faid Muhammad r/o Mandi Baha-ud-Din have been arrested, sources said.
The team recovered 36 kgs charas and 7.2 kgs opium from the possession of 3 persons. A Toyota Corolla car registration No.IDK-6584 being used for drug smuggling has also been seized. Accused Muhammad Ali s/o Muhammad Arif r/o Peshawar, Alam Sher s/o Islam Sher r/o Peshawar and Ashfaq Ahmed s/o Mushtaq Ahmed r/o Peshawar have been arrested on the spot.
Cases have been registered in ANF Police Stations and further investigations are under process.
