Lahore: RTO-I lodges cases against six steel mills on tax evasion

LAHORE: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) Regional Tax Office-I (RTO-I) has registered cases against six steel mills in Lahore on charges of tax evasion.

As per details, RTO-I registered cases against six steel mills located in Lahore, as steel mills were not paying sales tax since long and were defaulter of millions of rupees.

FBR registered the cases against Irfan Steel Mills, Malik Steel Mills, Hameed Steel Mills, Sufi Steel Mills, Usman Steel Mills and Samad Pipe Mills.

Regional Tax Office-I team trying to arrest owner of the steel mills to recover evaded tax from them. Sources said that steel mills allegedly evaded taxes by fabricating the relevant documents.
