Pakistan exports items worth Rs 400 million to India via Wahgah Border from May 1-15

LAHORE: Pakistan has exported items worth Rs 400 million to India via Wagah Border from May 1 to May 15 during the current fiscal year 2014-15.

As per the available documents, Pakistan exported fruits, salt, cement, gypsum, glass, aluminum ores, woven fabrics, scrap rubber, seeds and other items to India.

Pakistan has exported 2955 metric tons of fruits (HS Code 804-1020) to India worth Rs 135 million while in last fifteen days of April Pakistan had been exported items Rs 480 million to India.

On the other hand, perfumery plants and plant seeds and other relevant products also exported to India in these days, worth Rs 9 million have been exported,

Pakistan also exported 31147 tons of gypsum worth Rs 45 million to India while in last fifteen days of April Pakistan was able to export gypsum of Rs 67 million.

Besides, Pakistan exported portland cement, aluminous cement, slag cement, super-sulphate cement, hydraulic cement and clinker worth Rs 98 million to India from 1st May to May 15, 2015.

Pakistan also exported carbonates, hydrogen peroxide, limestone and glass to India.

As a whole, Pakistan exported items worth Rs 400 million to India via Wagha border Lahore. Pakistan also exported glass products of Rs 12 million to India from 1st May to 15 of May 2015.

Pakistani exports to India through Wagah border have increased while import of vegetables from India is decreasing these days as the current season is not favorable for the import of vegetables.

Pakistan also exported vegetables HS code 1302-1900 to India including vegetable saps and extracts and other relevant items worth Rs 1.3 million.
