Klang District Maritime Enforcement chief First Admiral Mohd Aliyas Hamdan said they had moved in on the suspicious speed boat which was stranded due to low tide in the waters of Batu Laut Selangor near Tanjung Rhu at 4.20am. “Two men were believed to be on the boat had fled the scene when they detected our patrol team,” said Aliyas. MMEA had also seized the speedboat to facilitate investigations. Aliyas said the case is being investigated under Section 135(1) of the Customs Act 1967 for smuggling.
