LAHORE: Special Court of Anti-Narcotics has sent two women drug peddlers to jail as their crime of drug smuggling and selling proved in the court.
According to details available with Customs Today Special, the Court of Anti Narcotics heard a case of narcotics smuggling in which Anti-Narcotics Force presented a woman smuggler in the court. Sanam Pathani was involved in smuggling of heroin and was arrested by the ANF officials last year upon which 1,300 grams of heroin was recovered from her possession during ANF raid.
Court announced its verdict today after examining the proofs against her and ordered to send her jail for 16 months and imposed Rs 15,000 as fine.
In another case a women Sanam Bibi has also send to jail for 3 months due to her involvement in heroin smuggling. She was also arrested by the ANF officials and they recovered 300 gram heroin from her possessions in 2014. Court has sentenced her 3 months jail and impose Rs 5000 as fine.
