Customs value of tooth brushes revised

KARACHI: The Directorate General of Customs Valuation has determined afresh the values of tooth brushes vide Valuation Ruling No. 736/2015.

It may be mentioned here that earlier, a representation was received from MCC Appraisement East for determination of values of tooth brushes. Later, process for determination of Customs Values was initiated and meetings with stakeholders were held in this regard.

Tooth brushes of low value brands of China origin excluding imports by multinational companies under PCT 9603.2100 shall now be assessed for duty/taxes as follows:

The customs values of tooth brushes for adults (in retail packing) would be $0.45/ dozen, tooth brushes for children (in retail packing) would be $0.36/ dozen, tooth brushes for adults (in bulk, without retail packing) would be $0.28/ dozen, tooth brushes for children (in bulk, without retail packing) would be $0.24/ dozen.
