Govt  to levy new taxes in federal budget

KARACHI: Assistant Commissioner IR Abdul Shakoor Shaikh said that new taxes will be imposed in coming fiscal budget of 15-16 amounting to one hundred billion. He said we are considering different proposals in this regard.

He was talking to Customs Today in Regional Tax Office. He said that purpose behind this increase is to enhance revenue sources that may enable us to achieve our revenue target. He said FBR already sends notices to tax defaulters and taking strict measures against them and in result we are getting encouraging response from them. He said persons who were defaulters last year but paid tax this year due to these measures.
