Axact CEO Shoaib, four others sent on physical remand

KARACHI: The prime accused in the much publicised fake degree scam, Axact Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Shoaib Shaikh along with four other suspects were sent on physical remand till June 4, 2015 hours after investigators discovered thousands of blank certificates of diplomas at the company’s headquarters here.

The investigating officer  in the case Saeed Memon presented the suspects in the Court of Judicial Magistrate Noor Mohammad, who remanded them into FIA custody for further investigation. The FIA informed the court that over two containers full of blank diplomas were found from the Axact offices and that more was being collected.
