FAISALABAD: The Customs Intelligence and Investigation Faisalabad confiscated smuggled cloth from a godown of transport company.
According to the details, following credible information through Additional Director Muhammad Ismail, a team comprising Superintendent Muhammad Tahir, Inspector Mansoor khan and Sepoy Mukhtar Ahmed raided a godown of Sitara Goods Transport Company and recovered cloth weighing 1545 kilogram worth Rs 513,000.
The officials asked the person concerned of the company to produce the documents regarding the legal import of the cloths but he could not comply with the instructions due not having any document.
However, the Customs Intelligence and Investigation team following the customs laws, confiscated the consignment.
