Senator Bilour warns KPK govt against imposition of import/export tax on industrial sector

PESHAWAR: Parliamentary leader of Awami National Party (ANP) in Senate and leader of Businessman Forum Senator Ilyas Ahmed Bilour has warned the Khyber Pakhtunkhawa government against imposition of import and export tax on the industrial sector in the coming annual budget, saying the trading and business community would oppose it tooth and nail.

In a statement here he said that industrial and trading activities has already come to a standstill due to terrorism and extremism in the province, while the PTI government which came to power by raising the slogan of change and serving the masses, was planning to ruin the already tax burdened provincial economy.

He clarified that the industrialists and traders of the province strongly resist the KP government if it tried to impose any new tax on the import and export sector.

He recalled that the KPCCI had secured a sound financial package for the province from the previous regime adding and now we were demanding new financial package for the KPK due to worsening law and order situation.

The PTI government wanted to take revenge from the people of KPK who voted them to power. He also criticized the provincial government over its silence over the GIDC.
