KARACHI: The government is seriously considering to increase excise duty on tobacco products, and this step will increase the prices of cigarettes. Sources in the RTO disclosed that quite a marginal increase in prices is expected, but final decision in this regard is yet to be taken.
Sources further said that hoarders have already started to stock the cigarettes because they will sell the same at new prices after the announcement of budget to make more money.
