Sindh CM to inaugurate 5th Livestock, Dairy, Fisheries & Agriculture Exhibition on Saturday

KARACHI: Chief Minister of Sindh, Syed Qaim Ali will open on Saturday the two-day fifth Livestock, Dairy, Fisheries and Agriculture Exhibition (LDFA-2015).

The event is being organized by Sindh Board of Investment (SBI) in collaboration with Sindh Agriculture and Livestock Department would be mainly focussed to provide a platform to all stakeholders associated with the agriculture, livestock and dairy sectors.

Director General of SBI, Muhammad Riazuddin, in a statement Friday, said it is an event to position Sindh as an economically viable province by identifying the areas/locations for investment in LDFA sectors.

Taking into consideration the potential of agriculture business promotion in the province, he said during the last four LDFAs cumulatively materialized business/commercial deals amounted to Rs. 1 billion and boosted up the agrarian economy of Sindh.

He said LDFA, this year, will showcase products of 24 different exhibitors related to poultry industry, nine companies engaged in fisheries, 21 agriculture companies and 14 companies associated with the businesses of dairy and livestock.

These were said to be besides two diplomatic missions displaying products belonging to their countries and also 14 international companies and banks engaged in disbursing loans and needed support to farmers pertaining to relevant categories.

The exhibition is expected to be also attended by number of foreign investors, foreign companies, and international agriculture experts besides businessmen and investors, banking and investment professionals, representatives of federal and provincial government ministries and departments.
