NOGALES: Customs and Border Protection officers at the Dennis DeConcini crossing arrested Marco Antonio Rojas-Zamudio, 20, of neighboring Nogales, Sonora, Mexico, after finding 35 packages of methamphetamine in his Chrysler van May 26.
A narcotics-detection canine alerted officers to nearly 42 pounds of meth, valued at nearly $125,000, concealed in the vehicle’s headliner.
Officers seized the drugs and vehicle, and referred Rojas to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s Homeland Security Investigations.
