FALFURRIAS: U.S. Border Patrol agents from the Rio Grande Valley Sector rescued two undocumented immigrants from trunk at checkpoint from inside the trunk of a car.
A Pontiac sedan approached the Falfurrias Border Patrol checkpoint for an immigration inspection. During inspection, a service K9 alerted to the trunk of the car. The vehicle was subsequently placed in secondary for further inspection, revealing two subjects concealed in the trunk. Both subjects were offered medical attention but declined.
The driver, a US citizen, was taken into custody and the vehicle was seized. The case has been referred to the Rio Grande Valley Sector Prosecutions Office.
