Qaim inaugurates LDFA-2015 at Expo Centre

KARACHI: Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah has said that the Sindh government is fully committed to promote and support agriculture, livestock, dairy and other sectors and provide incentives and facilities to investors.

He said this after inaugurating livestock, dairy fisheries, poultry, and agriculture exhibition (LDFA-2015) at Expo Centre. The exhibition will showcase the investment opportunities in agriculture and allied sectors of Sindh and bring the government and the investors on one single platform for collaborative functioning. Around 50 local and five international companies are taking part in showcasing their products and services as the exhibitors.

While visiting the stalls at exhibition (LDFA-2015), he also said that the exhibition will help government to identify the sectors to increase productivity.

“The exhibition will help our industries in capitalizing the untapped potential of livestock, dairy etc as millions of people and hundreds of industries including large, medium and cottage are dependent on these sectors,” the CM said.

He further added that Sindh government has been striving to support these sectors so that these can be modernized and could capitalize on the immense untapped potential available in the province.

Meanwhile, Sindh Minister for Livestock and Fisheries Jam Khan Shoro said that LDFA-2015 has great impact on economy of Sindh and has set a path for the development and exploration of new markets.

It is heartening to see that large number of foreign and local companies from agri sectors are participating actively in the exhibition and sharing their experiences in modernizing their products and services which will boost the productivity of agri and livestock sectors.

Government will ensure all out support including technical, financial assistance and guidelines to agriculture, livestock, dairy, fisheries and other sectors, he said.
