Peshawar ANF seizes drugs worth Rs 2.6 billion

PESHAWAR: Peshawar Anti-Narcotics Force during  various crackdowns recovered 822.6 kg of charas, 13.42 kg heroin and 635 grams Methamphetamine and seized seven vehicles. Twelve persons were arrested during the operation in scattered areas.

The worth of recovered drugs amounts approximately Rs. 2.06 billion in international market. According to details, ANF Peshawar conducted an information based raid at a Godown situated in Akram Abad, Kohat Road, Peshawar and seized 3 vehicles i.e. Shalimar Daewoo Bus No. LXK-8886, Suzuki Ravi No. M-9068 and a Toyota Car No. M-1241.

In another crackdown ANF Peshawar raided a house in Spina Wari on Ring Road, Peshawar. The operation resulted in recovery of 310 kgs of charas while in another case of road check ANF team intercepted a Suzuki pick-up at Mulazim Petrol Station at Indus Highway, Kohat and recovered 4.8 kg of charas from the secret points of the vehicle. The drugs were being supplied to Punjab.
