COPENHAGEN: Denmark has been ranked as the eighth most competitive country in the world, according to the 2015 World Competitiveness Yearbook, annually published by the Swiss Business School IMD. Denmark improved from ninth place in the ranking last year and it is now ahead of neighbours Sweden and Germany, who both dropped four places to ninth and tenth.

“Denmark has achieved the best further and vocational education in the world and has the second highest employee motivation,” the IMD analysis revealed. Denmark is ranked top of the pile when it comes to green-tech solutions, and it is also the country that spends the most money on education. The Danes are also strong in terms of infrastructure, for which they rank third in the world.
