Faisalabad Customs impounds non-duty paid truck worth Rs 4 million

FAISALABAD: Customs Intelligence and Investigation Faisalabad impounded a non-duty paid truck worth Rs 4 million involving duty/taxes amounting to Rs 2.27 million.

Customs officials told Customs Today that the intelligence team, following the directions of Additional Director M. Ismail, intercepted the Hino truck near Bakra Mandi, Faisalabad to check the documents of the vehicle.

Intelligence team asked the driver M Mohabat Khan son of Ijaz Khan Resident of Kheora City to produce the documents pertaining to legal import and possession of the truck. The driver could not produce any document as he did not have any documents on which customs team impounded the vehicle.

Customs intelligence team including Superintendent Malik Javaid, Inspector Muhammad Bashir Hussain, Muhammad Shahbaz, Muhammad Ashrag and others participated in operation.
