Misbahul Haq said that media should confirm any news before publishing it. He said that his vehicle was not seized by any government department.

Sources told Customs Today that Misbahul Haq was stopped by the Excise team in Khayaban-e-Iqbal Road Lahore when they checked its documents and let him to go on the assurance that he will pay his taxes within three days.

Misbahul Haq also told the Excise team that he was very busy in national and international cricket matches, so he could not pay his token tax. The Excise team then allowed him to go on the relaxation of three days.

Misbah was also confronted by FBR last year in October when his bank account was frozen due to non-payment of taxes amounting to Rs 3.9 million.

Misbah is currently preparing to lead Pakistan team in Sri Lanka in a three-match Test series which starts from July 17.
