Nazim Saleem urges PRAL for maintenance of automated system

KARACHI: Chief Collector Enforcement-South Muhammad Nazim Saleem has written a letter to Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Pakistan Revenue Automation Limited Raana Ahmed for immediate maintenance and remedial of issues may persist in the infrastructure of automated clearance system in order to avoid any untoward incident which may cause delay in clearance system.

According to the details, Chief Collector Muhammad Nazim Saleem through a letter asked the CEO PRAL-FBR that the automated system required instant maintenance, as several complaints from technical sides regarding the operation of the system have already been received by the authorities concerned.

Muhammad Nazim Saleem has further asked the officials of PRAL to install additional air conditioners in technical room to cool down the entire automated system during current scorching summer season.

The sources informed Customs Today that the chief collector of Enforcement-South while keeping the sensitivity of the prevailing issue has written the letter to the CEO PRAL-FBR Raana Ahmed, as in case of any untoward incident the entire clearance process of Pakistan Customs would affect badly.

They further informed this scribe that the chief collector has also taken a briefing over the said issue from the Director of the Directorate of Reforms and Automation, Majid Yousufani, adding that the Director also gave his out come over the prevailing issue which may creates issues in case of not attending the issue as top most priority by the authorities concerned of PRAL-FBR.
