FAISALABAD: The Excise and Taxation Department’s Motor Vehicle Branch, during a general hold-up, checked the documents of thousand of vehicles and found 388 vehicles guilty of tax evading.
The Excise team has seized the documents of 85 vehicles. The team also seized 205 vehicles into the jurisdiction of various police stations. The Excise Department is expected to earn Rs 2.5 million from tax evaders through adopting strict measures.
As the current fiscal year is going to end Excise department is taking every possible measure to achieve revenue target.
Reliable sources in Excise Department says that they are sending final notices to tax evaders to pay outstanding amount at the earliest otherwise strict action will be taken against them.
