RANCHO DOMINGUEZ: Dependable Global Express (DGX) announced an increase in the frequency of current sailings of less-than-container-load (“LCL”) shipments from the West Coast of the United States into the West Coast ports of Central and South America. Moving to a weekly sailing schedule, effective immediately, include Panama City (Panama), San Salvador (El Salvador) and Guatemala City (Guatemala). These new additions join the current DGX line-up of weekly sailings to San Jose (Costa Rica), Guayaquil (Ecuador), Callao (Peru) and Valparaiso (Chile).

“This is a great step for DGX, as it allows us to move another three of our eight direct sailings from Los Angeles to the West Coast of Latin America to a weekly basis,” said Antonio Bellido, DGX’s Latin America Business Development Manager. “DGX now leads the pack by sailing LCL freight directly into seven West Coast ports of Latin America on a weekly basis. Additionally, we’re working hard to add an eighth weekly destination, Buenaventura in Columbia, to our line up in the near future.”

Brad Dechter, DGX President added, “When we first started our Latin America business, we promised superior service and improved sailing frequencies. I’m proud to say we’ve accomplished our goals. We now sail full container loads to Latin America from anywhere in the world, and our LCL service to all eight major West Coast ports in Central and South America is unparalleled.”

“U.S. shippers moving freight into Latin America’s West Coast, particularly those shippers west of the Mississippi River and in the Midwest, now have a faster, more affordable and easier alternative than trucking freight to Miami,” said Dechter. “Our service is defined by our dependability and regularity. We think it stands alone, which all contributes to DGX’s position as a global supply chain logistics leader.”

DGX currently has offices in the United States, China, Hong Kong, Japan, Malaysia, New Zealand, Singapore, India, American Samoa, Australia, Peru and the Philippines. Since its inception, DGX’s hallmark of continued success has been outstanding and reliable service, backed by quicker container transit, superior personalized customer support and tracking, a unique cargo care process providing top-of-the-line freight forwarding, as well as in-house handling and delivery networks. The airfreight division is a licensed Indirect Air Carrier with a Certified Cargo Screening Facility in Los Angeles and an International Air Transport Association (IATA) member.
