NEW DELHI: The Organised Crime Intelligence Unit has seized 130 kg of ganja being transported to Rameswaram and apprehended two persons, who were carrying the contraband for smuggling to Sri Lanka by sea.
A special team intercepted the vehicle at Kamudhakudi near Paramakudi on Thursday evening and apprehended the duo, Inspector of Police Rajesh said. The accused were identified as K. Stephen (28), who drove the vehicle, and S. Dharmendran (28), the vehicle owner.
