Sindh Board of Revenue, Excise and Taxation asked to achieve recovery target by June 30

KARACHI: Sindh Chief Secretary Muhammad Siddique Memon has advised the Board of Revenue, Sindh and Excise and Taxation Department to achieve the recovery target by June 30.

The chief secretary said that no negligence would be tolerated in this regard, according to a press release issued here in Friday.

Siddique Memon was presiding over a meeting at his office, which was held to review the recovery target. On the occasion, Senior Member Board of Revenue Shoaib Ahmed Siddiqui apprised the meeting that 88 percent of recovery target has been accomplished, while the remaining task is near completion.

Chairman Sindh Revenue Board Tashfeen Khalid informed that out of Rs 49 billion, the recovery of Rs 44.5 billion has been done; the rest is expected to be recovered by June 25.

Secretary Excise and Taxation, Badar Jameel informed that Rs 34 billion has been recovered and remaining 3 billion will be recovered by June 30
