DG I&I appreciates performance of Lahore Customs officials

LAHORE: Director General of Intelligence and Investigation Muhammad Riaz Khan visited Lahore Dry Ports and regional headquarters of Directorate General of Intelligence and Investigation during his two-day tour to the city.

Official sources said that the DG visited Lahore regional headquarters and was presented performance review.

The sources said the DG instructed the staff including Director Najeeb ur Rehman Abbasi to be more vigilant to curb smuggling in the region.

Earlier, on Tuesday, the DG visited CFS, NLC Dry Port Thokar Niaz Baig and appreciated officers for achieving revenue targets during July and August.

The DG was also told about the successful launching of WeBOC system at the port.

Riaz also visited DP World and marine container terminal at Prem Nagar Dry Port and lauded the facilities being extended to the importers and exporters.

The DG also met with the top officials of Customs including Collector of Customs Preventive Junaid Akram, Collector of Customs Appraisement Zeba Hai Azhar and other Customs officers including Additional Collector Ms Ambreen, Abbas Ali Babar, Ali Akbar Zedi and Madam Asma.
