ANF Lahore seizes drugs, arrests score of smugglers including 2 women

LAHORE: Anti Narcotics Force Lahore has recovered heroin and charas while arresting drug smugglers in addition to seizing vehicles.

ANF Lahore arrested Manaal Farukh alias Manan Butt from Lahore at Multan Road and recovered 2 kg hashish.

ANF Lahore intercepted a Toyota Corolla Car at Lahore and recovered 1.030 kg heroin from the vehicle. Two accused namely Sajid Raza and Muhammad Ijaz belonging to Sargodha was arrested at the spot.

ANF intercepted an official vehicle of Bomb Disposal Unit Peshawar, near Motorway Toll Plaza, Faisalabad and recovered 72 kg charas from the vehicle. Two accused namely Asif Khan, resident of Peshawar and Muhammad Sohail from Karak were arrested on the spot.

ANF also intercepted a person from Faisalabad at Multan Airport and recovered 2 kg heroin concealed in his trolley bag.

ANF arrested a woman Sana Lal Din from Narowal at Allama Iqbal International Airport Lahore and recovered 2 kg heroin concealed in her hand bag. She was to travel to Akra, Ghana via Dubai.

In another attempt ANF seized a consignment at Sky Net Courier and recovered 750 grams of heroin concealed in Dental Surgery Equipment. The consignment was booked for UK. The accused sender was from Sialkot. He was also arrested after initial investigation.

ANF intercepted a car without number plate at Pindi Bhattian Motorway Interchange Toll Plaza and recovered 3 kg heroin from the vehicle. An accused namely Javed Khan resident of Peshawar was arrested at the spot.

ANF also arrested a woman namely Babra Sultana who belonged to Faisalabad and recovered 1 kg heroin and 1.2 kg charas from her possession.

ANF intercepted Nasir Hameed from Mandi Bahauddin at Allama Iqbal International Airport Lahore who confessed to having ingested heroin filled capsules in his stomach, which later on resulted in delivery of seven heroin filled capsules weighing 55 grams.

Cases have been registered at ANF Police stations and further investigations are underway.
