KFC Indonesia to disburse Rp59.8b in dividends

JAKARTA: Fast Food Indonesia (FAST), the country’s franchise holder of the Kentucky Fried Chicken (KFC) brand, will disburse Rp 59.8 billion (US$.46 million) in dividends, 39 percent of its net profit last year.

FAST announced in its annual shareholders meeting on Monday that it would share dividends equal to Rp 30 per stake on July 10.

Last year, the publicly listed company expanded its franchise business by opening 27 new outlets and three KFC-Box outlets – stores with a minimal-space concepts that mainly focus on takeaways – both on Java and elsewhere in the country.

As a result, its total revenue grew by 4.57 percent to Rp 3.9 trillion. However, its net profit dropped slightly from Rp 156 billion in 2013 to Rp 152 billion in 2014.
