NEW DELHI: WeChat introduced an English version for Windows on Friday. As of the writing of this story, WeChat has not published an update to its Mac app. However it seems as if they are working on bringing the update the Mac in the future. The website states “don’t worry Mac users, we haven’t forgotten about you.”
The updated app also comes with a few new features such as the Screenshot and File Sharing feature, which allows users to instantly share both screenshots and files easily within the app.
They have also added Group Chat Mentions. This allows you to gain a specific person’s attention from within your group chat by sending them a special notification letting them know that you have mention them.
The last major feature that WeChat has brought to the Windows desktop version of the app is the Message Recall feature. This allows you to recall any message that has been sent within the last two minutes to possibly correct any typos or misspellings.
