HONG KONG: Hong Kong stocks ended the morning session 0.66 percent higher Friday following a second day of gains on Wall Street and in line with advances in mainland China.
The Hang Seng Index added 176.49 points to 27,084.34 by the break, on turnover of HK$63.15 billion (US$8.15 billion).In Shanghai the benchmark composite index rose 0.44 percent, or 22.45 points, to 5,144.04.
The Shenzhen Composite Index, which tracks stocks on China’s second exchange, gained 1.00 percent, or 31.09 points, to 3,132.03.
