WHITEHALL: A Whitehall Township man has been charged with delivering heroin and other drug offenses after an investigation by the Lehigh County Drug Task Force.
Stephen Patterson, 27 of the 1200 block of Washington St., was charged after a search of his apartment.
On May 12, Patterson was contacted via cell phone and arrangements were made for the delivery of heroin. Patterson then delivered three bags of heroin to an undercover operative in exchange for money. On June 10, another delivery was arranged via cell phone. Patterson’s vehicle was stopped in Whitehall Township because he was wanted on other charges of delivery of heroin in a separate Drug Task Force investigation in November 2013. When Patterson was taken into custody, he had 34 bags of heroin and a cell phone. Detectives searched Patterson’s apartment and found 300 bags of heroin, $3,368 in cash, packaging materials, a digital scale, rice and a device used to smoke marijuana.
