LONDON: A galaxy exists all alone at the edge of a cosmic void in a new photo taken by the Hubble Space Telescope.
Most of the time, galaxies are surrounded by other galactic neighbors clustered together around the universe, but this galaxy, called NGC 6503, is all by itself. NGC 6503 is at the edge of a part of space called the Local Void, a strange, 150 light-year across patch of the cosmos that doesn’t appear to play host to stars or galaxies, Hubble officials said.
The galaxy is located about 18 million light-years from Earth.
