PENRITH: Detectives began an investigation last week after contraband, including prescribed medication and two mobile phones, was discovered inside the Goulburn Correctional Centre by Corrective Services NSW staff.
Police searched a Nowra home on Thursday morning and several items were taken for further examination.
The 37-year-old woman, who is employed by the Justice and Forensic Mental Health Network, was arrested at the scene and taken to Nowra Police Station.
She was charged with five counts of possessing prescribed restricted substances; one count of introducing prescribed medication into a place of detention; and one count of introducing two mini-mobile phones into a place of detention.
The woman was granted conditional bail at Nowra Local Court. She will appear before Goulburn Local Court on Wednesday, July 8
