KARACHI: Regional Tax Office (RTO-III) Karachi has collected Rs 77,939 million during May under the head of of direct and indirect taxes against a target of Rs 80,654 million.
Ninety percent of the target has been achieved while Chief Commissioner Ahmed Saeed is still optimistic that the the target will be achieved by the end of the current fiscal year 2015-16..
According to the data available to Customs Today, Rs 4,330 million were collected as sales tax, Rs 73 million as federal excise duty and Rs 73,536 million as income tax during May 2015.
