Multan ASO seizes 32,000 litres HSD worth Rs 5 million

MULTAN: Anti-Smuggling Organization has foiled a bid to smuggle 32,000 litres high speed diesel oil during an operation.

Anti-Smuggling Organization has captured a oil tanker filled with 32,000 litres of smuggled diesel oil. The operation was conducted on special information against smugglers from the Anti-Smuggling Organization with the help of local police.

The operation was conducted in the region of Sakhi Sarwar and the smugglers were trying to smuggle HSD through the hidden routes of the Koh-e-Sulemani.

Following the instructions of Collector MCC Multan two different teams were participated in the operation against the smugglers.

Customs teams seized the oil tanker bearing registration number of TKW-734 which was filled with 32,000 litres of high speed diesel oil .When the raiding team asked the driver to produce legal documents regarding oil driver failed to provide the import documents of the high speed diesel oil.

Superintendent Tanvir Ahmad Malik along with Inspectors Ghulam Asghar, Saleem Khan, Arshad Nadeem and Aslam Qureshi took part in the operation against the smuggled HSD oil. The total value of the smuggled HSD is Rs 5 million.

Anti-Smuggling Organization have seized the smuggled high speed diesel oil along with oil tanker. An advance information report has been lodged against the seized HSD oil and further investigations are under process.
