Bajwa directs RTOs, LTU to achieve revenue collection target

LAHORE: Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) Chairman Tariq Bajwa has directed the all chief commissioners, commissioners of Regional Tax Offices (RTOs) and Large Taxpayers Unit of Lahore and Gujranwala to achieve target of tax collection in all circumstances by the end of outgoing fiscal year 2014-15.

As per details, the FBR chairman visited the field formation offices of Lahore and spent a busy day with officials. He held meetings with chief commissioners of RTO Lahore and Gujranwala and chief commissioner of Large Taxpayers Unit.

The chairman discussed the tax collection performance made by officials so far and also asked about the hurdles being faced by them in revenue collection.

On the other hand, chief commissioner presented reports regarding tax collection and that assured the chairman about achieving the set target of current fiscal year. It is important to mention here that 15 days are left behind to end the running fiscal year vis-a-vis to meet revenue collection target.

LTU Chief Commissioner Chaudhry Safder Hussain, RTO-I Lahore Chief Commissioner Waqar Ahmed, RTO-II Lahore Chief Commissioner Rukhasana Yasmeen, and RTO Gujranwala chief commissioner attended the meeting.
