Faisalabad Excise auctions 16 registration numbers of motor vehicles

FAISALABAD: The Excise and Taxation of Faisalabad region has held an auction of attractive registration numbers of new series FDA-15 for motor vehicles.

The auction process was completed at excise office Faisalabad with low interest of the citizens that resulted in failure of auction of 1 and 786 numbers.

However, number 5 was auctioned for Rs 45,000 and the number 92 for Rs 25,000. During the auction process, only 16 numbers were sold, therefore, the department could earn revenue of Rs 180,000.

Meanwhile, the Excise Department has also decided to distribute motorcycles among the excise constables who showed exceptional performance to recover revenue.

Director Faisalabad Excise Ahmad Saeed said that department has already distributed numbers of motorcycles among the excise inspectors, adding that almost 85 more motor vehicles will be given to constables of Faisalabad, Jhang, Toba Tek Singh and Chiniot.

He said that Directror General Punjab Excise, Ahmad Aziz Tarar will distribute motorbike among the employees and fuel allowance of Rs 2,000 in order to encourage the officials.
